The PYC is sponsoring Boater Safety Classes open the public and PYC members.

The dates are:
JULY Session (Website Registration begins MAY 1st at 8 AM)
- Tuesday, July 7th from 8 – 12 noon
- Wednesday, July 8th from 8 – 12 noon
AUGUST Session (Website Registration begins JUNE 1st at 8 AM)
- Tuesday, August 11th from 8 – 12 noon
- Wednesday, August 12th from 8 – 12 noon
Sgt. Mike Fillips, Oceana County Marine Division, will be the instructor for the 2026 July & August sessions. Each session will be a 2 day class from 8-12 noon. The July registration will not be available to register until May 1st at 8 am
The August 2026 Boater Safety Class registration will open on June 1st at 8 AM. This change in registration dates prevents persons from signing up for 2 classes and not showing up to one of them per Sgt. Fillips.
Upon completing the 2 day course and successful completion of the Boater Safety test a boater safety certificate will be awarded.
